Following the success of the British School Introduction to Hockey Clinic, HGC has set up regular training sessions for the British School children. These training sessions occur weekly on Fridays from 17:00-18:00. The training sessions consist of exercises which focus on different skills to improve their technique and they finish off with a match at the end. The exercises are made by the head trainers of the HGC Youth committee, with many focusing on Broad Motor Development and others follow the ASM (Athletics Skills Model).
Due to the success of the first clinic and the training sessions, HGC will be organising another clinic (THE EASTER CLINIC) which will be open to other International Schools too to increase diversity within the club. The Easter Clinic will take place on FRIDAY 9TH APRIL from 10:00 – 15:30 at HGC Hockey Club. Similarly, to the last clinic and previous HGC Skills Course camps, the day will be packed with lots of hockey activities where the kids will have the opportunity to improve their hockey technique and learn new skills. They will also be provided with snacks, lemonade and lunch at the Hockey club to keep them fuelled up. It is an opportunity for them to hang out with their friends and make new ones.
The clinic is open to all International Schools in the Wassenaar and The Hague region, predominately the British School in The Netherlands and the American School of The Hague due to their holiday dates. Kids from the age of 5 to 12 years, of any hockey level are welcome to join, no hockey experience needed. Clinic price is €50p.p (Incl. Lunch).
